They have been together since 1998 when Mike stood in for Ian who was indisposed at that time. Mike worked with Perry in his Duo, Nice `N` Easy up to 2005 when Ian rejoined. In 2000 The New Millennium Duo was formed. In 2008, the name was changed to Artbeat, reflecting the addition of new instruments creating a new sound.
